The Work Itself
- Interview subject matter experts, technical staff, architects, and other resources to gather requirements, analyze artifacts, and solution for system enhancements
- Reviews and understands system test requirements, integrated testing activities, and results
- Running diagnostic and system testing and presenting the information to the relevant stakeholders
- Deconstruct business processes and interlay with technical workflows to recommend solution requirements
- Provides user acceptance testing prior to full production deployments
- Create, maintain, and update detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories to convey the current state and target goals
- Translate and communicate complex technical documentation and subject matter between technical and non-technical audiences
- Produce and present easy-to-understand documentation and supporting visuals for clear and concise representation of the analysis completed
- Provide a comprehensive approach to defect management i.e. defect clustering, triaging, etc.
- Understanding of system environments to optimize testing strategies
- Liaising with product owners and technology as necessary
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years working as a systems analyst, including expertise in requirements gathering and system testing methodologies required
- Bachelor's degree required in business, information systems, computer science, or related field
- Expertise in agile/communication tools (JIRA, Confluence), process visualization tools (Visio), and test management tools (qTest)
- Applicable certification such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) preferred
- Proficiency in software testing, including functional and regression testing required
- Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation
- Above-average planning and organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and diagrams
- Working knowledge of the Agile Scrum methodology and processes
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer relationship skills are critical, including strong listening skills a must
