Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity

This is an individual contributor role. The individual in this role will work on initiatives that will have direct impact to Ally's auto loan business. Primary responsibilities will include using cutting-edge analytics to develop strategies and capabilities to maximize value for the auto loan originations business. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering results, must be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, can learn quickly, is self-motivated and detail oriented.

The Work Itself

  • Independently lead analysis and develop strategies for auto loan originations business
  • Leverage multiple data sources to develop analytical frameworks and strategies to optimize the business performance
  • Conduct ad-hoc anlayses to derive insights and identify areas of opportunities
  • Present analyses and recommendations to multiple stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multiple partners in a matrix environment as required
  • Assist in creating analytic knowledge synergies across the organization


The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business,  Finance, Operations Research, Statistics, Technology,  Economics or a similar discipline with quantitative focus, master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of analytics experience preferred.
  • Strong application knowledge of SQL, Python, Strong analytical, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with logistic regression, decision trees, survival analysis, mathematical program is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple initiatives and efforts
  • Ability to respond quickly to a changing environment.
  • Experience in auto lending or financial services industry preferred.

Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
