The Opportunity

  • The Principal - Tech Delivery Management will manage a portfolio of technology projects in the Digital technology space, specifically supporting large cross-line of business strategic initiatives 
  • You'll serve as the program lead to Business Partners, other IT groups, and vendor partners and will communicate scope, progress, and issues/risks to stakeholders at various levels--supporting multiple in-flight initiatives at once. 
  • You’ll need an eye for detail, a steady and organized approach for managing complex interdependencies and topics, experience summarizing project status and impediments to technology executives, and a knack for creative problem-solving. 
  • Keeping calm under pressure, a relentlessly positive and can-do attitude, a strong focus on team personal and professional well-being, and continuous improvement are also required. 

The Work Itself

  • Deliver solutions that accomplish organizational objectives with on-time delivery, budget adherence, and exceptional quality. 
  • Collaborate with senior management and executive leadership to solidify project objectives and scope. 
  • Work across business and technology workstreams to identify, align and coordinate both independent and inter-dependent activities. Capture and track key dependencies, identify resulting issues and risks to functionality and schedules. 
  • Allocate and direct technical resources to accomplish project tasks ensuring effective utilization 
  • Identify and manage project issues/risks to closure and provide proper visibility to stakeholders 
  • Generate an inclusive workgroup environment, which encourages cross-group collaboration 
  • Participate in team routines to maintain an integrated view of progress and issues, support teams in resolving cross-team issues and blockers where needed. 
  • Facilitate joint planning and problem solving across technology teams and activities, including internal teams, vendor teams where applicable, and other supporting partners. 
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads and other team members to identify and manage technology risks, identify mitigation strategies, and track results
  • Collaborate with senior management and executive leadership to solidify project objectives and scope

The Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years Project Management experience in an enterprise IT system environment, PMP preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other relevant field of study preferred. 
  • Ability to work autonomously, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment 
  • Proven experience driving enterprise change in large organizations. 
  • Ability to influence change across a matrix organization and collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver solutions. 
  • Ability to think critically and develop high quality project deliverables and ensure technology solution meets requirements 
  • Consulting/Problem Solving -- ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key technical and business problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations. 
  • Systems Delivery -- extensive experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle. 
  • Competent in process design, documentation, and implementation. 
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word, and Project. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creating and presenting PowerPoints and sending project status to senior leadership. 
  • Handles ambiguity and changing priorities effectively. 
  • Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills 
  • Ability to negotiate and build consensus with various stakeholder groups 
  • Proven experience managing multiple efforts at once, of varying scope and size
