The Opportunity

Lead the customer contact center and IVR Architecture strategy to provide solution architecture to application delivery teams. Partner with engineering leadership and line of business executives to create a best in class platform for Ally servicing. 

The Work Itself

  • Portfolio Scope – Customer Contact Center & IVR
  • Develop and drive the short- and long-term architecture strategy and portfolio needs for key business segments 
  • Serve as an esteemed technical mentor to architecture and software development colleagues.
  • Provide cost effective solutions that enable the business and maximize flexibility to integrate with other systems.
  • Supports the development of architecture principles, styles, patterns, and standards for systems across the business, translating corporate strategy into technical strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional team to drive peer reviews, gain consensus, and finalize proposed solutions with all partners.
  • Communicate and validate architecture with executive IT partners, architects, and technologists.
  • Review legacy architecture, identify components strategically aligned for re-architecture, monitor technology usage for end of life cycle.
  • Develop application modernization and cloud migration strategy for the portfolio.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, or other relevant field of study
  • 7+ years of proven experience
  • Ability to guide, mentor, and coach a technical teams
  • Ability to develop enterprise guidelines and standards
  • Expert knowledge of the software development process and how it fits within the IT architecture and infrastructure
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs
  • Ability to lead or interact with and provide architectural design guidance to project teams made up of employee, business partner, and/or supplier resources
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other senior leaders of IT on program strategies and plans and negotiate quality solutions
  • In-depth technical knowledge with the following technologies: Java, JS, Amazon Web Services, REST, API design
  • Familiarity with these technologies: IVR, Salesforce, Data Modelling, ML
