The Opportunity

Seeking an innovative and results oriented Application Manager of Conversational AI Application Development to lead the development of conversational experience for customers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading software development teams using AI/NLP based solutions. They will have extensive experience in working with cross functional partners and stakeholders as well as mentoring and coaching team members. Additionally, they will have solid understanding and experience in leveraging agile processes, devops practices and cloud-based computer systems.

The Work Itself

As an Application Manager of Conversational AI Application Development, you will be leading a team of engineers in creating an incredible experience for our customers across conversational channels. The candidate should be passionate about the latest developments in the field of NLP and user experience in conversational interfaces, Has experience leading and mentoring a team of developers, developing streamlined processes, continuous improvement and incremental delivery methods. Candidate should be familiar with the intricacies of interacting with multiple business partners in an Agile methodology environment.


Partner with the Business, UX design and back-end API teams to create world-class customer experiences using Conversational AI.


Lead a team of developers comprised of Ally Associates and contractors (onshore and offshore)


Mentor developers who are highly skilled and passionate about AI/NLP and customer experience as well as early talent.


Own and enforce secure coding standards through peer code reviews and automation


Effectively communicate technical solutions and recommendations to senior level management in both Technology and Lines of Business


A strong commitment to delivering business value through a combination of innovation and mature operating models.

The Skills You Bring

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

A strong bias for thoughtful action.
7+ years of experience in or strong understanding of AI and NLP technology.
Hands on experience in software development, with strong coding practices, preferably including Python.
Understanding of application stacks and DevOps workflows.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, from team members to senior management.
A commitment to mentoring, coaching and talent development.
A strong drive to solve problems of all types.
An intense dislike of waste and activities that add no value to team growth or productivity.
An entrepreneurial spirit, and comfort with uncertainty and ambiguity.
A firm belief in exchanging constructive and respectful feedback.
