The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of the Stipulation Optimization team, this position's primary responsibilities will include performance analysis of the consumer auto stipulation portfolio. The candidate will analyze large volumes of data to identify and research performance trends and emerging risks within the auto stipulation portfolio. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering results, must be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, can learn quickly, is self-motivated and detail oriented. The candidate will work with key leaders within the consumer credit organization and partner groups such as finance, compliance, legal, risk and technology.
The Work Itself
- Provide analytical and data support in the design and review of strategy tests and current operations.
- Analyze monthly operating results and monthly variances; identify problems and research potential recommendations for corrective actions.
- Perform portfolio analytics, special projects, drill --down analysis and other duties as needed.
- Apply sound control processes into daily/weekly/monthly processes to effectively identify, assess and manage risk.
- Maintain code logic to pull, sanitize, aggregate, conform, and produce operational and portfolio-level reports accurately.
- Collaboratively work with matrix & vendor partners to ensure alignment with strategic imperatives.
- Perform special analytics projects and other duties as assigned.
- Interface with various stakeholders within asset performance, credit risk, finance and strategy and analytics organizations to provide timely and accurate analysis.
- Able to deliver accurate results within expected deadlines.
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; BS or BA in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Technology or related field.
- 1 plus years' experience in similar or equivalent position preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of consumer financing industry (e.g. auto, card, mortgage etc.).
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of data mining and analytical techniques.
- Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practical experience working with large datasets with SQL knowledge.
- Quick learner and has demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and execute small to medium scale projects.
- Work well within a team of analysts and collaborate with individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds.
- Candidate must have strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present material
- Basic knowledge of statistics and models preferred
- Experience with designing and implementing champion challenger strategies preferred.
