The Work Itself
- Develop and maintain a strong working foundation in governance and controls. Work with business partners, including Business Line (BL) Risk, Independent Risk Management (IRM) and Compliance, to understand governance routines and requirements and support Treasury’s recurring governance needs.
- Lead all necessary governance routines for Treasury by maintaining and enhancing Treasury’s governance repository (e.g., organizing documentation, tracking approvals, and ensuring materials are current, consistent, and easy to retrieve).
- Support routine activities spanning across Treasury, including standard reporting, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) materials preparation, consolidation of Senior Management and Board level materials, and other ad hoc requests as needed.
- Support all internal and external audits by compiling documentation, preparing evidence packages, tracking requests, and supporting timely responses.
- Assist with all supervisory activities across the Treasury group, including but not limited to, targeted and horizontal exams, Routine Continuous Monitoring meetings, ad hoc requests and remediation efforts by coordinating requests, tracking action items, and supporting remediation follow-ups.
- Analyze and improve processes by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and documentation through templates, trackers, and workflow improvements that reduce rework and improve turnaround time.
- Encourage a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and inclusion within the team.
- Apply relevant regulations, policies and procedures to business issues and day-to-day responsibilities with strong attention to detail and timely escalation of questions or issues.
- Communicate clearly with partners across Treasury and control functions; escalate questions or potential issues early and with context.
The Skills You Bring
- 0+ years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Highly preferred: Bachelor’s degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
- Highly preferred: 1+ year of relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, campus leadership, or project work) in finance, treasury, banking, risk, audit, or compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data and learning new concepts quickly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; able to build clean, accurate, executive-ready materials.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and build positive working relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize information and produce clear summaries.
- Highly organized with attention to detail; able to manage multiple requests and deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership mindset, and learning agility.
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and support process improvements while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
