The Opportunity
This role is on a hybrid schedule, in our Detroit or Charlotte office a few days weekly with some remote days.
In this hybrid role, you’ll support both interview coordination and background screening, ensuring a smooth, professional, and people‑first hiring experience. You’ll be a key partner to recruiters, hiring managers, candidates, and vendors—helping keep processes moving, improving efficiency, and elevating the overall candidate journey. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, proactive, goal‑oriented, and confident speaking up when improvements or clarifications are needed.
The Work Itself
- Coordinate interviews across teams, tools, and time zones, ensuring accuracy and meaningful communication.
- Provide a warm, timely, and informative candidate experience through email, updates, and stakeholder partnership.
- Manage shared inboxes, scheduling workflows, and interview logistics.
- Support background screening by reviewing documentation, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with internal teams and vendors.
- Monitor timelines, raise issues proactively, and maintain compliance and data accuracy.
- Identify process improvements and risk across scheduling, communication, documentation, and systems—and voice recommendations with confidence.
The Skills You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
- 1+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or related fields
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with candidates and internal partners.
- A self‑starter mindset—takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts quickly.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage shifting priorities with accuracy.
- Comfortable speaking up, offering solutions, and driving improvements.
- Familiarity with ATS/scheduling tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
