The Opportunity

Suppliers perform critical activities on behalf of the Customer Care and Experience organization.  The Supplier Relationship Owner Analyst will be responsible for the management and oversight of critical supplier(s) to ensure Ally Bank’s interests are protected and the services are delivered according to the contract.  This role will manage operational performance, issue and risk management and will require interactions across numerous functional groups with the focus on relationship building, and collaboratively creating solutions.  The Relationship Owner (RO) will monitor operational expense through overseeing metrics and SLAs: track and communicate issues to resolution and monitor supplier scorecards. 

Although a sound knowledge of Customer Care and / or Supplier Management is preferred, given the right candidate’s qualifications this may be something which could readily be acquired during initial job transition. 

Some overnight travel may be required.

The Work Itself

·       Relationship Owner of a critical Ally supplier(s)

·       Develop ongoing monitoring routines based on Enterprise Third Party Risk Management Standards, operational metrics, Service Level Agreement (SLAs), and financial targets.

·       Ensure service level agreements are met and, if not, that appropriate remediation is completed, and controls implemented.

·       Complete monthly invoice reconciliation

·       Track and monitor trends in volumes and supplier related expenses.

·       Develop third party contingency plans, complete Inherent Product Service Risk Assessments (IPSRA) and Performance Assessments.

·       Participate in Control Effectiveness Reviews (CER) and audits.

·       Remediate issues and create actions plans for open issues or self-identified issues.

·       Manage and understand supplier processes, ensure documentation is adequate and aligns to the process

·       Ensure process supplier compliance through the execution of a variety of compliance testing, lead all remediation activities when applicable

·       Lead projects and initiatives as they arise

·       Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs

The Skills You Bring

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-5 years relevant experience in the financial services, auto or servicing industry.

·       Broad working knowledge of vendor management

·       Intermediate Excel & PowerPoint

·       Experience with driving continuous business improvement processes

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills

·       Thrives in a dynamic environment – no standard day

·       Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills.

·       High aptitude for new skills, flexibility around work assignments, and strong desire to work as part of a team
