Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your internship with Ally will move you from Educated to Experienced; connecting you with diverse teams and functions across the country. You will have the opportunity to interact with Ally's leadership and learn from their personal successes. The Ally internship program seeks to guide and mentor students with development opportunities designed to provide a bridge between the academic world and the world of business. #LI-DNP

Areas of Opportunity
  • Auto Analytics - this team leverages traditional analytics techniques and problem solving to generate business-relevant insights using data from databases, internal reports, market/business trends, and/or financial statements. They will act as a primary source of insights for operational teams.
  • Business Line Risk - this team establishes the risk management program for Auto Finance. The team works with business partners to optimize operations and Auto Finance risk/return profile.
  • Business Systems Management - this team is responsible for supporting the development of all internal Ally Auto employees. The CD team is accountable for developing and delivering job-specific training from new hire to end of career. A candidate will want to work for us if they have a passion for developing talent.
  • Commercial Credit Risk - this team is responsible for credit loss reserving, forecasting and stress testing of Ally’s ~$25B Commercial Automotive loan portfolio. The team handles all Commercial Auto credit loss reserving and forecasting activities as well as variance analysis vs. actual performance.
  • Commercial Services - this group helps maximize dealer opportunities for capturing commercial customers by offering a full suite of financing solutions to fit individual and unique business needs. They are comprised of Credit Underwriting teams, Credit Line portfolio management and Sales professionals. CSG Account Executives serve as product specialists in the field, responsible for maintaining Dealer relationships and cultivating business as the primary contact. 
  • Customer Solutions/Consumer Loss Prevention/Recoveries - Customer solutions is essentially auto loan collections. Meaning we work to collect on delinquent loan accounts. We also have the consumer loss prevention side which is where we work to help customers who are experiencing long term financial hardship modify their monthly payment to avoid repossessions of their vehicle, and to help Ally avoid losses. 
  • DL Forward Flow - this group offers direct to consumer auto loans for refinance and end of term lease purchases. We are a dynamic and innovative team, continually striving to improve our customer experience and operational processes. 
  • Product & Strategy - this team is responsible for supporting product, underwriting, and contract processing teams as they make data driven decisions. The team is responsible for data identification, data extraction, data processing, analysis, and the packaging of results for distribution. 
  • Remarketing - this team works with the customers, auto dealerships, vendors and financial intuitions to prepare and manage the inventory of Ally's U.S. pre-owned retail and lease-return vehicles.
  • Sales Alliance - this team supports field sales organization by developing and maintaining sales data and related business intelligence. The team provides support to achieve financial targets and key results. Also, they identify and research emerging industry trends and assess the impacts to the Ally organization.
  • SmartAuction - is an industry-leading internet auction that offer access to virtual inventory of wholesale vehicles for eligible dealers of all brands. You can make or receive offers from your computer or mobile device on select vehicles for sale an deceive access to auction inventory and vehicle sales data nationwide.
