The Opportunity

The Sr. Specialist is a key position within the Digital Strategy Team of Marketing and should have strong knowledge and experience managing a variety of digital marketing tactics to help drive performance for our Deposits and Invest business lines. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, fast learner, with an inquisitive mindset for uncovering and leveraging data to improve outcomes for the enterprise.

Responsibilities include supporting the strategy of marketing programs including campaign development, execution, and analysis/reporting and will report to the Manager Lead, for Deposits & Invest. Managing timelines, tracking competitive positioning, partnering with various teams both internally and externally to deliver innovative campaigns is key to success. 

The successful candidate will possess a track record of developing and supporting well thought out multi-channel, full-funnel campaign strategies. Understanding and interpreting different forms of media measurement is also at the core of this job function.

The Work Itself

  • Deliver holistic cross-channel digital strategy with external and in-house agency; craft full funnel media plans that deliver on brand and business objectives.
  • Help drive digital innovation across all Ally marketing (both internally and externally with the agencies). Dive deep and uncover opportunities that didn't exist previously.
  • Work with data and ad operations team to ensure the tagging and tracking of all Deposits & Invest digital programs for campaign measurement. Requires close collaboration with agencies and internal stakeholders (programmatic, paid social, analytics, SEM, SEO).
  • Work with in-house paid channel leads to coordinate synergistic campaigns and optimizations to achieve Deposits and Invest line of business acquisition goals
  • Work with the external and in-house agency + Ally analytics to refine reporting and deliver insightful digital roadmap to improve results.
  • Assist in managing budgets at a holistic campaign level, working with channel leads and Marketing Operations on monthly budget forecasting.
  • Work with site-direct partners on performance, budgeting, billing and monthly actualizations
  • Partner with legal and sourcing on new publisher-direct partnerships, which includes creating specific IO terms, and issuing/updating IOs (insertion orders)
  • Steward campaign launch process with internal and external stakeholders; work with Ad Team on creative assignments, URLs, assets, etc.
  • Develop executive-level reports/campaign recaps to illustrate campaign performance and determine which strategies are driving the most engagement/revenue/cost saves across the partners/tactics/strategies.
  • Work closely with CRM/Social teams to align creative and strategy to promote cross-sell initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a testing plan to maximize business goals and accelerate learnings which can be applied across channels
  • Collect and analyze data, identify trends, and proactively communicate insights ensuring positive metrics to various internal stakeholders including channel leads for audience / media optimizations, ad team for creative and messaging optimizations, and business team for performance read outs
  • Strategy Team Senior Specialist will be the business line “go-to” responsible for knowing campaign strategy and details and is responsible for communicating KPIs
