The Opportunity

You'll be helping our customers while working in a fun team environment. You'll go home feeling like you made a difference. As an Asset Recovery Sr. Collector, you'll spend your day talking with customers over the phone helping customers find solutions to resolve their outstanding obligation and negotiating payment arrangements. Every call is an opportunity for you to use your negotiating and relationship building skills to partner with customers and building lasting business relationships. This position is a great opportunity to grow individual leadership, knowledge of Auto Finance and may lead to supervisory or management opportunities. 

The Work Itself

  • Handling multiple tasks under different umbrella such as Outside Collection Agency, Attorney Retained, Collections, and Legal Admin tasks.
  • Negotiate payoffs or payment arrangements with accounts assigned to attorney retained.
  • Fulfilment of Title Release/Release of Lien Request, Letter Request, Media, Affidavits, Disputes and Escalations Request From other department such as ECR, Dealer Assist, Account Executive and Fraud.
  • Inbound calling assisting customers with recent disputes placed, title release issues, 1099c issues, charge-off and credit reporting issues
  • Daily reports such as TCPA, HSG PIF/SIF, OCA Licenses and FICO reporting
  • Process and notarize legal documents with speed and accuracy
  • Participate and / or lead one of our various internal associates led products within Recoveries to showcase and grow your leadership and problem-solving skillset
  • Act as a mentor to new hires and assist in new hire trainings through side x sides and on the job training assistance
  • Use computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting
  • Crossing training over AutoID and CED (Collateral Equipment Discrepancy)

 

The Skills You Bring

  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 - 2 years of experience performing customer service, administrative duties, and/or collection/recovery efforts within a financial institution required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, call center environment
  • Excellent listening, oral - written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Professional phone etiquette and persuasive negotiation skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and informed of changes in policy and procedures
  • Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience required
  • Performance Measurements may include meeting required metric standards monthly, daily Scorecard, monthly recovery targets set by the department
