The Opportunity

The Work Itself

  • Act as an intermediary between Ally’s insurance loss vendor and the customer while collecting on unpaid balances.
  • Educate customers on the total loss process as well as the adverse effect of credit furnishing.
  • Work with insurance and GAP companies to resolve total loss claims.
  • Conduct research in order to provide accurate documentation to insurance company.
  • Negotiate and work out payment arrangements while maintaining empathy.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external clients.

The Skills You Bring

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively collaborate with vendors and other Ally departments.
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in business or related may be used as a proxy for the experience.
  • Ability to work a high volume of accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications experience required.
  • Ability to use 2 screen workstations as well as use several systems at a time.
  • Basic typing/data entry skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
