The Sr Enterprise Data Management Analyst at Ally leverages their data management expertise to drive value in the business’s data journey and deliver critical data services that follow Ally’s regulatory standards. They will be an integral part of the Enterprise Data Management team and will support the entire lifecycle of data from acquisition to archival and the strategic initiative to view all data as an information asset.

The Work Itself

·Support the Enterprise Data Management team by gathering business requirements and creating functional data solutions that follow Ally’s regulatory standards
·Contribute to Ally’s data management catalog by updating data dictionaries and business glossary terms
·Analyze data, tools, and processes to mitigate regulatory risks across the enterprise
·Support EDM initiatives & project plans by creating user stories, establishing sprint content, developing roadmaps, and tracking sprint work and velocity
·Communicate with leadership to provide status updates and identified risks in the data lifecycle
·Write, support, and test Python scripts and SQL code for maintaining bulk upload processes and .csv files

The Skills You Bring


·7+ years of relevant work experience using SQL and T-SQL in data management, data migrations, business intelligence, and data warehousing projects, or related expertise in Information Technology
·Working knowledge of multiple database programming languages including Python, R, Scala, Java, or equivalent languages is a plus
·A self-starting mentality and passion for analysis, with interests in using state of the art technology and identifying unconventional opportunities for success
·Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate between data management, data stewards, leadership, and technology partners
·Experience with supporting and analyzing data models, creating data process flows and procedures, and reporting data hierarchies within a data management tool or BI reports
·Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo
