The Opportunity

  • The Sr Director of Strategy and Analytics role will be responsible for the strategic analytics function for business leaders across Ally. As the leader of an analytics team, this leader will directly support the C suite leaders and various business partners both on the marketing team and all lines of business across Ally to identify targeted marketing audiences, lead the execution of campaigns, lead the development of statistical models in support of product marketing activities and understand customer interactions. This leader will also be an integral part of building out future technological and strategic capabilities.

The Work Itself

  • Responsible for leading the analytics strategy and execution of product line, channel or marketing Act as a liaison between business partners and internal team to translate business need into executable requirements Manage work flow and resource planning for analytics team Responsible for the relationship between bank and third party vendors (credit bureaus, etc.
  • ) to understand functional segmentation and suppression requirements Translate business partner requirements into technical specifications for programming team Conduct detail-oriented team audits of all deliverables to ensure 100% accuracy of data and analysis Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation on key processes Guide and conduct analyses of customer communications and offer presentment leading to actionable insights and recommendations Participate in IT work stream to deliver next generation capabilities

The Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years of modeling/analytics experience in a banking environment.
  • Management experience required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have a focus on attention to detail, proactive approach to problem-solving, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to identify, manage and resolve under pressure critical issues affecting a specific Business segment Possesses superior client relationship skills Strong analytical, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple initiatives and efforts Ability to respond quickly to a changing environment
