Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

Senior Analyst Quantitative Modeler will be responsible for delivering complex analysis and building / applying statistical models for consumer auto products (i.e. loans and lease) in Ally's Auto Finance Line of Business.  Quantitative modeling projects include loss forecasting, residual value forecasting, consumer acquisition scorecards, and portfolio analytics to support the goals and objectives of Ally Bank's Automotive Lines of Business.   Work closely with business partners and leadership from pricing, and other business functions to design, build, test, and deliver quantitative solutions.  Candidates should have strong technical skills (i.e. statistical modeling, data science, machine learning, programming in Python and SQL), strong communication skills, a curious / creative mindset, and a strong work ethic.

The Work Itself

  • Responsible for building statistical models and conducting quantitative analysis to support Ally's Automotive Loan and Lease business.
  • Emphasis on applying a strong data science technical skillset to complex consumer behavior business subject matter and develop quantitative modeling solutions for business partners. 
  • Extract and manage data for model development from internal and external databases and providers.
  • Monitor performance and support existing models in production, updating periodically as needed.
  • Help evaluate third-party data and credit scoring models for internal utilization, as appropriate.
  • Support the Model Risk Management validation process for models owned by your team.  

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in quantitative modeling and analytics, with strong database/SQL and Python programming skills required
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, or similar quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in statistics, data science, or quantitative field 
  • 4-7 years of analytics experience
  • Strong database/SQL and Python programming skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently to develop creative quantitative solutions

Base Pay Range: $85000 - $150000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
