The Opportunity

The Compliance Senior Analyst will support the oversight, transformation, and modernization of key elements of Ally’s compliance management system. This will include the execution of processes to maintain, and improve, and report on data foundational to key compliance program pillars in addition to providing support for the Compliance Risk Assessments and Regulatory Change Management programs.


The Work Itself

  • Create and maintain a variety of quality control reports and analytics for managing regulatory content and compliance related risks and controls.
  • Identify data anomalies, patterns, and trends for regulatory content and associated relationships for remediation and escalation, as necessary
  • Partner with internal partners to execute periodic data oversight routines and the remediation of any identified data quality issues on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in the development of preventative systematic controls and process improvements with in the GRC tool to minimize risk of data anomalies
  • Track and process data change requests for compliance risk management data within the GRC Tool in partnership with the GRC Support Team.
  • Manage GRC incident tracking and remediation for applicable modules
  • Support tools and technology for processes and communication with internal about ongoing activities related to the Compliance Program Strategy initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing support to end users for access, training, day-to-day activities, and inquiries
  • Other strategic support activities as assigned

The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in risk management or applicable oversight role (e.g., operational risk, compliance, audit), preferably in financial services.
  • Bachelors' degree in business or related major or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, SharePoint, Teams
  • Data analysis and reporting experience including pivot tables, simple formulas, charts, lookups, etc.
  • Ability to think critically and independently problem solve in scenarios where a precedent does not exist
  • Ability to Ability to research and understand laws and regulations
  • Attention to detail and superior written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to identify and make recommendations to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to adapt to meet the needs of the compliance organization in a dynamic regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to simultaneously accomplish multiple tasks assignments and prioritize work as needed to meet business needs.
  • GRC tool experience is preferred (e.g., OpenPages, Archer, or equivalent experience).
  • PowerBI experience is preferred.
