The Opportunity
The Senior SmartLease Specialist is responsible the sales and support of Ally’s SmartLease strategy. The candidate will work with our team of sales and support specialists and be responsible for executing Ally’s growth lease sales and support strategy. This individual will be responsible for a specific sales territory and expected to coordinate with their manager, Account Executives, Directors of Sales, and dealership customers. Position requires servicing Ally dealership customers that will require periodic travel. Position will require strong understanding of Ally’s lease opportunities, knowledge of programs for all OEMs Ally provides leasing for, ability to build and present presentations and proposals. We are open to a candidate sitting anywhere in the US with close proximity to an airport, but would prefer someone sitting in the Northeast or Midwest.
The Work Itself
- Candidate will be responsible for getting the message out, both internally and externally to our partners.
- Identifying vehicle specific opportunities to grow lease originations, completing monthly reports, seeking management approval for plans and activities, and helping our overall goal of maximizing our Growth lease business.
- Will work closely with our existing SmartLease sales team and our matrix teams to ensure plans include organization objectives and achieve returns needed.
- Understanding of advantages of Ally programs and how we partner with dealers to drive business will assist in this role.
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years of outside sales experience is required.
- 3+ years of auto finance industry experience is preferred, specifically in leasing.
- Background in dealership operations or strong understanding of how dealerships operate is preferred
- Experience presenting leasing to retail customers and/or dealers.
- Must have leadership experience with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage processes is critical
- Individual must be sales oriented, self-motivated, and display excellent time management skills.
- Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise.
