The Opportunity
The Work Itself
- Drive monthly reporting routines which clearly articulate key expense drivers, emerging trends, and analysis allowing the business to assess progress towards budgetary goals
- Prepare Ally Auto business deliverables and meeting materials for executive updates and reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Summarize results and materials specific to each Auto business unit, as well as consolidate data to create a holistic view of Operating expense for the entire Auto business
- Support the Auto leadership team in day-to-day financial analysis, and execution of strategic initiatives
- Maintain robust reporting and documentation supporting the publication of financial results and forecasting routines including, but not limited to, key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Build reports, perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned
- Assist with cost savings initiatives and track performance against stated goals
- Support and build relationships with key partners spanning Servicing, Sales, Pricing, Risk, and Finance
- Utilize global SAP/Workday and OneStream environment to provide consistent data accuracy and timely reporting
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years' experience in financial services with strong business acumen.
- Experience reporting on financial forecasts, P&L performance and operating metrics geared towards executive leadership required
- Advanced skills with Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and PowerPoint are required
- Bachelor's degree required, with a degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Must demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable working with dynamic and complex concepts
- Ability to analyze data, evaluate scenarios, and synthesize output to present a clear, concise message
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively plan and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to interact with senior management
- Ability to foster collaborative, trusted partnerships in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience with OneStream and Workday Financial applications
- Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work with moderate direction in a dynamic fast paced organization
- Experience with forecast modeling and Power BI
- Ability to work independently with demonstrated time management skills
- High level of accountability and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Interest/experience in Auto Finance operations
