The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to support a top-level Bank executive at Ally. The Senior Executive Assistant manages the calendar and travel for the executive, creates and edits documents, helps coordinate events, and supports a range of special projects. The Sr. EA works under the general supervision of the executive and must exercise initiative and independent judgment.

The Work Itself

  • Coordinate and manage the calendar for assigned top executive
  • Prepare and proof correspondence, reports, and other written material
  • Prioritize work assigned to meet individual goals of the executive
  • Prepare detailed presentation materials to meet deadlines, while coordinating input from various departments
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for executive and other personnel as required
  • Schedule various in-house and outside meetings (including luncheon/dinner meetings) as required
  • May produce expense reports for department
  • May process invoices for payment
  • Assist with special projects, activities, and events
  • Provides back-up support for other top-level executives
  • Handle miscellaneous duties as assigned

The Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years of executive level administrative experience
  • Prior experience supporting a C-suite executive preferred
  • A high degree of personal initiative
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills (formal and informal); Must be able to communicate clearly and confidently with top-level executives
  • Acts with integrity and honesty; proficient in handling confidential information
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven; Strong team-player but able to work independently
  • Calm under pressure 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Highly proficient in corporate software systems such as Outlook, Word, and T&E systems
  • Medium-high proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
