The Senior Director, Deposits & Savings Product, is responsible for defining and delivering the strategy, performance, and long-term evolution of the bank’s digital savings portfolio. This leader will align product strategy within the broader Consumer Bank vision, driving product enhancements and drive customer value proposition, deliver sustainable growth, and generate tangible business outcomes. 
This role requires deep expertise in deposit product fundamentals, strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes. The Senior Director will serve as a thought leader across the organization, involving cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, customer-centered solutions that materially improve business results.

The Work Itself

Product Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and lead the Savings Product Strategy, clearly articulate the vision, priorities, and success measures across the organization.
  • Align cross-functional partners—including channel, technology, digital, marketing, sales, service, and operations—around shared business objectives.
  • Establish the strategic direction and multi-year roadmap for savings products, including current state, target state, and key capability development.
  • Ensure product strategies align with bank strategy, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
Business Performance & Ownership
  • Own overall performance of the savings portfolio, including P&L results, product economics, growth, and customer outcomes.
  • Translate financial plans into actionable product initiatives and measurable KPIs.
  • Provide clear performance insights, diagnostics, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Continuous improvement across acquisition, engagement, retention, and customer satisfaction.
Customer & Market Focus
  • Define target customer segments and ensure product solutions meet evolving customer needs.
  • Lead competitive analysis and market assessment to inform strategic decisions.
  • Champion customer experience improvements across the savings lifecycle.
Execution & Operating Model
  • Oversee day-to-day portfolio operations while maintaining focus on long-term strategic priorities.
  • Maintain an integrated execution plan linking strategy, roadmap, and delivery milestones.
  • Establish disciplined performance measurement and routines. 
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of product concepts and innovation opportunities.
Enterprise Partnership
  • Partner closely with payments and transaction product teams (e.g., checking, debit) to deliver a seamless deposits experience across the consumer banking ecosystem (including Invest).
  • Ensure business partners understand product value drivers, objectives, and performance expectations.

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • 12+ years of relevant experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of Deposit Product experience (preferred), or depth of experience in Product Management (preferably a focus on retail banking products and or Savings solutions), and deep experience with core product management functions 
  • Deep understanding of product operations, servicing and multi-channel customer experience
  • Knowledge and experience dealing with key regulatory (Legal, Risk & Compliance) aspects of Deposit products 
  • Previous experience with product P&L, and owning key business outcomes 
  • Financial acumen, able to quickly articulate financial drivers of the business, identify and optimize levers to drive & optimize business economics and profitability
  • Previous experience with human centered design principles & practices as well as practical experience with rapid concept development in an Agile environment 
  • Depth of knowledge in consumer behaviors, digital trends, including key customer and competitor dynamics
  • Quantitative analytical skills to drive performance measurement & analysis, understand customer behaviors and usage, develop forward looking trends, and assess product level impact 
  • Highly innovative with demonstrable success in business development and growth 
  • Strategic thought leadership with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Able to manage internal and external partners, addressing priorities and requirements of various stakeholders
  • An effective communicator, at all levels, and across all stakeholders 
  • Strong partnership focus, effective with indirect leadership of all levels, proven ability to work well with broad array of teams and organizations 
  • Proven experience leading diverse teams including remote, able to define a vision, mobilize teams and engender followership, fostering collaboration

Base Pay Range: $165000 - $240000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
