The Opportunity

The Senior Director will work with IT peers and business partners to guide and drive the strategic Technology roadmap for our online Auto Finance Consumer Portal against current and future business priorities. This includes applying advanced software development expertise and business acumen to maximize the return-on-investment dollars, while enhancing the overall Agile delivery process.

The Senior Director will lead the design, development, and delivery of the Auto Finance Consumer Portal. This role would be involved in all efforts geared towards development, delivery, and support of this complex software solution according to company standards. The candidate will have strong technical, business, and leadership acumen. The candidate will also have experience interfacing with business executives as well as internal and external technical teams.

The Work Itself

  • Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the Auto Finance Consumer Portal
  • Works with the CIO and partners to identify, assess and drive the Technology roadmap and long-range strategy for the online Auto Finance Consumer Portal
  • Works with business partners to translate desired outcomes and enhancements into tangible capabilities
  • Serves as the primary point of contact from project/program inception to delivery, collaborating and interacting with technical and non-technical audiences and stakeholders along the way
  • Defines and develops project management infrastructure that includes a methodology driven quality plan, ensures monitors and controls are in place to protect the quality of the deliverable
  • Creates a culture of growth focused on where we want to be in the future by improving agility, optimizing processes, and improving time to market for IT delivery model
  • Provides leadership and management through coaching, empowering, and facilitating teamwork for all associates
  • Recruits and develops talent pool providing challenging opportunities that enhance associates’ career growth to insure adequate bench strength and succession planning

The Skills You Bring

  • 10 + years of professional experience in technology Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business and/or an advanced degree (MBA, MCS) preferred     
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage several concurrent projects and initiatives
  • Background in eCommerce, Banking, and/or Auto Finance strongly desired
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies and tools, resource planning, and forecasting 
  • Enterprise application delivery, including 10+ years of information systems experience
  • Must have proven business and technology skills, with success providing customer-oriented technology solutions environment 
  • Demonstrated success as a change agent leading significant transformational initiatives in organizations 
  • Must be a fast-paced and solution-focused driver for results in a performance culture, but also achieve results in a collaborative manner
  • Must be an effective communicator and considered to be a developer of people who is comfortable working with a broad cross section of people in direct and matrixed relationships
