The Work Itself
- Serve as subject matter expert for Consumer Banking data and AI platforms.
- Lead the platform roadmap for data and AI; oversee configuration, implementation, and optimization of data engineering solutions to meet priority business use-cases.
- Establish and enforce rigorous data reliability, security, backup, and resilience strategies.
- Create technical documentation and low level design to ensure effective operations/support of the infrastructure solution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analytics teams, IT, and vendors to select appropriate solutions, integration patterns, and configurations that accelerate delivery of business value.
- Manage documentation and design artifacts (reference architectures, data lineage, configuration files, etc) to ensure effective operations, supportability, and knowledge transfer across the organization.
- Define and communicate metrics for platform health, data quality, delivery throughput, and value realization
- Comply with Change Management, Release Management, IT Risk & Compliance processes and standards
- Build and develop a high‑performing data engineering organization; mentor leaders, elevate engineering maturity, and drive continuous improvement in process.

- 12+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar fields Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Mathematics, Economics, or related discipline
- Experience developing AWS tools, AI/ML framework, data governance platforms, cloud platforms, enterprise BI, SQL/Python/R languages
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills; ability to translate detailed technical problems/solutions into easy to understand business terms
- Proven track record of providing thought leadership in the technology area -- and applying technology to solve business problems
- Experience leading high performing team, including managing managers
- Excellent problem-solving skills; Ability to ask the right questions and effectively diagnose the root cause of technical issues
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization; Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
- Collaborative and team focused; Eagerness to learn
