The Opportunity
The Paid Social Marketing Sr. Specialist sits within the Digital Marketing In House Agency team at Ally. This individual will be tasked with helping us execute our in-house support of paid social campaign execution across multiple channels and lines of business. The ideal candidate has previous hands-on-keyboard execution experience either from agency or advertiser direct experience. The successful candidate will possess a track record of perfecting campaign strategies and execution with an audience-first mindset. This person will have to partner with various teams across the organization, including IT, Analytics, and onsite personalization teams, in addition to external platform partners. They will also need to be process-oriented as we grow this program's scope over the next year.
The Work Itself
- Manage marketing budget including reconciling payments and general ledger charges on monthly basis and working with program managers to forecast future expenditures.
- Update marketing metrics scorecards each month.
- Daily monitoring of rates displayed in Ally Bank digital advertising.
- As well as management of the Ally Bank rate process.
- Monthly audit of Campaign Manager to ensure marketing program managers are following the approved process for receiving Brand, Legal and Compliance approval for all marketing materials.
- Organize and coordinate marketing and creative governance processes Reconcile agency SOW usage on a quarterly basis.
- Execute and manage all Purchase Order and Purchase Requisitions for marketing programs.
- Assist Marketing Managers in development of presentations.

Job Responsibilities
- Optimize & execute as a hands-on-keys trader for Ally Paid Social Media programs across Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other emerging social channels.
- Responsible for daily execution of targeting tactics inclusive of creation of custom audiences, bid adjustment and budget management using native social platform interfaces or social marketing technology platforms.
- Collect and analyze data, identify trends and proactively communicate insights ensuring positive KPIs across different lines of business.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to present learnings and maximize the value of the programs.
- Support the digital marketing team in set up processes inclusive of checking ad serving set up, tracking parameters and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and maintain a testing plan to maximize investment value and traffic, share insights with brand, media, and creative teams.
- Continually learn, advancing skills and knowledge of online advertising, financial services, and competitive trends. Share new developments with the team and how to leverage them.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant field of study preferred
- 3+ years online paid social experience required as a campaign analyst, media planner/buyer, account manager or hybrid; other online advertising background a plus
- Previous experience working with ad tech such as an ad server, CRM, SEM tools or paid marketing platform highly recommended.
- Familiarity with online analytics packages measuring last-touch or multi-touch attribution and the programmatic display/paid social landscape, including mobile-measurement partners
- Proven ability to successfully manage internal and external partner relationships
- Strong MS Excel abilities, including the ability to use formulas, functions & pivot tables. Tableau and SQL are a plus.
- Understanding of A/B and multivariate testing
- Familiarity with statistics and online advertising metrics
- Proficient in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Positive and productive interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Detail oriented with a commitment to strong results
