The Opportunity

The Ally Design and Strategy group is an assembly of the highest caliber visual designers, content strategists and user experience experts. We work together to tackle complex problems and present simple, intuitive, and beautiful digital experiences, complemented by meaningful messaging.



This role supports standing up a new line-of-credit product and operates within an agile work environment to create quality servicing, sales-oriented, and other digital collateral for the Ally Lending experience. We're excited to expand the team and are actively looking for creative problem-solvers and user advocates to continue evolving our award-winning digital experiences.


Our Senior Content Strategists are held to a high standard. We’re responsible for developing compelling content and copy that embodies the Ally brand, voice, and tone. This isn't simply about being a snazzy writer. We're looking for team members who can think through what, when, and where messages will enhance the user experience while supporting organizational business objectives. 

The Work Itself

  • Develop digital content strategies, content, and copy solutions for Ally Lending initiatives
  • Create high-quality content that aligns to business objectives, as well as brand standards, and voice/tone guidelines
  • Utilize a range of inputs from user research, site analytics, SEO analytics, usability findings and design standards, to develop impactful solutions
  • Collaborate with visual design teams, business partners, and marketing experts to create/maintain a best-in-class digital customer experience across the Ally landscape
  • Work with internal teams to develop, share, and edit solutions
  • Contribute to the maintenance and implementation of Ally Digital Content Style Guide standards
  • Tackle multiple projects, competing priorities, and ambitious timelines
  • Pitch, propose, and provide thoughtful rationale in leadership reviews


The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of digital content experience is appropriate
  • Bachelors in Communications, Journalism/English, Usability/Research, or Business Psychology or comparable experience and portfolio
  • Experience in content strategy and managing varying types of deliverables
  • Prior experience crafting online/digital content, creating copy decks that capture online and mobile content, authenticated spaces, and user content flows, is key
  • Experience developing and analyzing content in digital environments such as: content audits, content strategy recommendations, persona assessments, taxonomy efforts, and applied usability learnings
  • Prior experience or understanding of responsive design theories and the applied role of content is a plus
  • Prior experience with scalable solutions to address multiple mediums and platforms
  • Experience collaborating in agile environments is preferred
  • Must be articulate and inspire commitment to a higher standard
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to balance business needs with user experience
  • Prior experience in User Experience, Usability or Creative Agency preferred
  • Financial or lending experience is a plus but not required
