Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

Must be in Charlotte location. On a hybrid schedule, in office weekly with some remote days. 

Ally’s Market and Liquidity Risk Management (MLRM) function helps to create, preserve, and realize long-term value for the Company that is commensurate with accepted risks and consistent with principles of safety and soundness and honest and fair dealing. The MLRM function provides independent, enterprise-wide oversight and effective challenge for Interest Rate, Investment, Liquidity, Counterparty Credit, and Vehicle Residual Value Risks.  Team primarily oversees and challenges aspects of the Corporate Treasury, CFO Group, Auto Finance, and Insurance BLs and collaborates with other IRM teams to create effective and efficient ris management.  Additionally, MRLM provides enterprise stress testing activities in support of Ally's Capital Plan as well as other periodic stress tests that inform strategic decision-making.

 The Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis (STSA) team, a part of the MLRM function, implements and maintains the enterprise stress testing programs that provide a periodic, forward-looking, robust, and repeatable process to evaluate the impact of stress scenarios on Ally’s risk, financial, capital, and liquidity positions. These programs include stress assessments in support of Ally’s annual Capital Plan which is submitted to the Federal Reserve Board. In addition, the STSA team leads the annual horizontal capital exam with the regulators. The STSA team also provides ad hoc support for various projects throughout the Company, which have previously included supporting corporate forecasting efforts, cross-functional projects, and strategic transactions.

The Work Itself


  • Perform and coordinate reviews of business line stress scenario financial projections to ensure alignment with stress scenario assumptions
  • Work with business line loss forecasting and allowance-setting teams to understand and review processes, assumptions, models and projections
  • Support the stress test execution cycle including the coordination of calendars and deliverable requirements with business partners
  • Work with Ally Economics and other key stakeholders to design, review, and distribute stress scenarios
  • Develop Board of Director and senior management reporting materials and key documentation
  • Develop and coordinate the development of documentation for regulatory submissions and reviews
  • Monitor the regulatory environment for changes that may impact assigned areas of responsibility
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key business partners across Ally to ensure appropriate coordination on various STSA-related activities
  • Manage key stress scenario financial consolidation and FR Y-14A (regulatory data submission template) reporting processes
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Contribute positively to Ally’s LEAD values and leading culture

The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ Years experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA recommended.
  • Experience with credit and the allowance setting process required
  • Stress Testing experience preferred 
  • Financial forecasting experience preferred  within banking or financial institution preferred 
  • Advanced knowledge MS Excel, PowerPoint and the suite of MS Office programs. 
  • Strong analytical skills, statistical modeling preferred.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and demands simultaneously.

Base Pay Range: $85000 - $150000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
