The Opportunity
As a Senior Process Optimization Analyst within Ally Insurance, you will drive measurable performance improvement by combining rigorous data analysis with scalable process design and automation. In partnership with systems, operations, data, and technology teams, you will identify opportunities, design scalable solutions, deliver enhancements, and embed continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on solution builder who enjoys rapidly delivering low-code apps, analytics, and automations that improve customer and employee experiences.
The Work Itself
- Monitor and continuously improve deployed solutions; implement logging, alerting, and support practices to sustain reliability.
- Partner with data/technology teams to ensure solutions align with architecture, performance, security, and governance standards.
- Facilitate requirements sessions, define KPIs, and translate business needs into data models, process maps, and scalable solution designs.
- Develop and maintain workflow automations and decision-support tools that improve process efficiency, quality, and transparency.
- Write robust SQL and Python code to extract, aggregate, clean, and validate data at scale; implement data quality checks and reconciliation frameworks.
- Design, build, deploy, and support low-code applications, dashboards, and automations using modern analytics and automation tools (e.g., Power Platform, BI tools, scripting languages).
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience performing complex data extraction and transformation across large-scale data warehouses preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, analytics, automation, and/or low-code solution delivery preferred.
- Proficiency with SQL and at least one analytics/programming tool (e.g., Python or R) and experience with reporting platforms like Power BI and/or Sigma preferred.
- Experience building low-code apps and workflow automations; ability to integrate with enterprise systems in partnership with technical teams preferred.
- Experience implementing data quality rules, testing strategies, and validation frameworks; familiarity with documentation practices and data governance preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate ambiguity into clear requirements and delivered solutions.
- Continuous improvement mindset with end-to-end ownership from design through deployment and support.
