Ally and Your Career

Ally Financial only succeeds when its people do - and that’s more than some cliché people put on job postings. We live this stuff! We see our people as, well, people - with interests, families, friends, dreams, and causes that are all important to them. Our focus is on the health and safety of our teammates as well as work-life balance and diversity and inclusion. From generous benefits to a variety of employee resource groups, we strive to build paths that encourage employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop, and learn new things. You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too?

The Opportunity

This is a hybrid role, in office weekly with some work from home days

The Senior Analyst, Employee Experience Design and Research will support and contribute to the evolution and development of Ally's employee experience – with an eye for design and distinct focus on listening to the employee voice, user experience and research, and enhancing key moments that matter across the employee lifecycle. As a thought leader and hands-on driver, you will listen, facilitate connections, design, and execute by working with key partners to support the development of  an employee experience that delivers on Ally's employee value proposition. Through partnership with HR stakeholders, technology experts, and business partners, this role will work to ensure the employee experience is intentionally considered and we deliver on our mantra to Do it Right.

The Work Itself

  • Partner with the broader Employee Experience and Communications team and other stakeholders to define and execute Ally’s holistic employee listening strategy
  • Design and conduct employee research related key moments that matter across the employee lifecycle and digital experiences across multiple products
  • Collaborate with project teams across HR, technology, and business lines to define strategy, as well as site architecture and navigation for key HR employee portals
  • Analyze multiple data sources – qualitative and quantitative – and identify trends, insights and opportunities to improve the employee experience
  • Create evidence-based insights to guide technology and process design and enhancements
  • Create experience maps that illustrate multiple user journeys – mapping out opportunities and recommendation to improve the experience
  • Apply and evolve employee personas
  • Develop use case scenarios, flow diagrams, site maps, wireframes, high-level functional specifications, task analyses based on personas and research, and integrating these into design
  • Assist with user research plan and partner interviews to understand requirements and facilitate change for the sake of the ultimate user experience when needed
  • Contribute to the transmission and publication of timely employee communications
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities
