The Opportunity

Reporting to the Ally Customer Care & Experience Reporting and Analytics Manager, this position will collaboratively work with other analysts on the team to produce performance reporting and/or additional analyses for Invest, Wealth, Deposits, Lending and Auto Dealer and Consumer servicing teams and matrix partners. Primary responsibilities include analytics, data management, data integration, reporting, process improvement, driving innovation and ensuring the team remains current on technical abilities. This position is committed to the development, implementation, and execution of reporting and some ad-hoc or project-based work to ensure the best customer experience!

The Work Itself

  • Key contributor to the end-to-end process of data ingestion, transformation, analysis, visualization for the performance management application
  • Provide mentorship on the design, build, and updating of business intelligence platforms to other analysts
  • Bridge any technical gaps on identification and resolution of opportunities related to data management and report production
  • Collaborate with various partners within the CC&E organization to provide timely and accurate analysis and information as needed to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate with executive leadership, application development teams, product owners, learning & development teams, data engineers, and other matrix partners on data projects
  • Partner with Data Governance to establish & maintain data quality monitoring
  • Provide support for data requirements for internal & external audit needs
  • Support coordination with various internal teams to ensure accuracy of data and reporting
  • Ability to provide the CC&E organization with the analysis needed for data driven business decisions
  • Participation in data and business strategy meetings

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Admin/Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Statistics or like field
  • 4 years of experience working in analytics, data engineering, consulting, or development roles
  • 2 years of experience working with big data
  • AWS/Snowflake experience preferred
  • Familiarity of database design, Snowflake data architecture and tools, and relational database principles
  • Proficient in some of the technology platforms, tools, and languages listed (cloud based is a plus)
    • AWS, Snowflake, Azure, Oracle
    • Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Cognos
    • SQL, Python, R, JAVA, SAS
  • Experience with business intelligence development process
  • Demonstrates outstanding analytical and organizational skill set
  • Ability to consistently maintain high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Actively works on documentation of the work that is being produced
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate across departments to effectively convey the requirements and needs
  • Ability to convey SQL query logic with clarity and ability to answer questions on the queries
  • Familiarity with Contact Center based terminology is a plus
