Ally and Your Career
The Opportunity
The Work Itself
- Risk Appetite and Risk Reporting: Utilize and develop your Power BI skills to create detailed reports on key risk stripes, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the risks impacting the business. Collaborate with risk partners to thoroughly assess key risks, culminating in a monthly update of the Risk Dashboard that is presented to Ally Insurance leadership. Work closely with colleagues to establish new Risk Limits and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for the early detection and prevention of potential risks.
- Credit Risk: Lead improvements to the credit risk management framework by analyzing credit portfolio trends and key risk indicators. Work closely with the Auto Finance Credit Risk team to gain deeper insights into credit risk assessments and apply this knowledge to enhance credit risk analysis. Collaborate with the Underwriting Team to address underperforming accounts, stay updated on actions taken, and monitor strategies aimed at improving the overall credit quality of the portfolio.
- Strategic Risk Governance: Collaborate with Insurance business partners and Ally risk management experts to oversee the risk assessment process for new products and business initiatives. Evaluate potential risks and ensure that effective risk mitigation plans are established and implemented before launching new initiatives. Promote effective governance within the Insurance business by developing and maintaining robust policies and procedures, and by facilitating committee meetings and communications.
