The Opportunity

The Enterprise Risk Director, Stress Testing and Scenario Analysis (STSA) is responsible for conducting key enterprise stress testing activities in support of Ally's capital management routines and regulatory stress tests. The STSA team implements and maintains the Enterprise Stress Testing program, which provides for a periodic, forward-looking, robust, and repeatable process to evaluate the impact of stress scenarios on Ally's risk, financial and capital positions.

The Work Itself

  • Manage key stress scenario financial consolidation and regulatory data reporting processes.
  • Perform and coordinate reviews of business line stress scenario financial projections to ensure alignment with stress scenario assumptions.
  • Serve as primary liaison for STSA to other business partners including enterprise and business line financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams and enterprise treasury teams, in particular balance sheet management and capital management teams.
  • Support the stress test execution cycle including the coordination of calendars and deliverable requirements with business partners.
  • Develop Board of Director and senior management reporting materials and key documentation.
  • Develop and coordinate the development of documentation for regulatory submissions and reviews.
  • Monitor the regulatory environment for changes that may impact assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Perform post stress test scenario debrief discussions with key stakeholders to continuously improve the stress testing program.
  • Manage associates and support their professional growth.

The Skills You Bring

  • BS/BA degree required, MBA or CFA viewed favorably
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Stress Testing, or Balance Sheet Management
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and the banking industry
  • Strong organizational, communication and project management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Proven ability to manage issues through to resolution; skilled at making sound judgment calls
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities
  • Experience building strong partnerships
  • High proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
