The Opportunity
- Candidate must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota or Nebraska, within a two-hour drive of an airport willing and able to travel approximately 70-80% of the time to support the Central Region. This position requires flexibility in work schedule, including evening hours and some weekends.
- The Regional Growth Manager oversees the sales of Insurance F&I product line in order to meet targeted goals. The role will report to the Director or Senior Director of Insurance Sales and will develop targeted sales plans to maximize returns.
The Work Itself
- Create leads and sell F&I product line to targeted goals; close sales by building rapport with key decision makers within target accounts, explaining corporate program and service capabilities, while effectively overcoming objections.
- Develop sales plan and effectively manage resources to maximize return on expenditures.
- Operate within the growth channel which encompasses all new and used car franchised dealerships within the United States except for General Motors franchises.
- Work collaboratively with Ally Insurance's account teams and all other Ally field personnel in identifying new customers, conquesting new business and strategically managing the sales opportunity pipeline.
- Successfully handoff closed accounts to Account Executive for servicing and income development activities.
- Maintain current knowledge about the competition, market threats and challenges, and communicate those concerns with organization and maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in training; remain active in the industry and in the respective area and trade associations.
- Develop new customers by identifying possibilities for product improvements and new products by following industry and market trends, and competitors.
The Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of experience required.
- Automotive retail, F&I consulting, banking, and/or financial services experience preferred.
- Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise.
- Ability to contribute and manage projects providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise.
- Technical knowledge, project management, and ability to influence others.
- Proficient in intermediate MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred, MBA is ideal.
