The Opportunity
The Senior Dealer Training Specialist is someone who loves to develop others and has a passion for leveraging their experience and knowledge to help others grow. If you’re able to engage various styles of learners and conduct high level communications with dealership personnel, this might be the right role for you! You will be responsible for ongoing course and content development and will provide support for audio/video conferencing tools and services. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who can facilitate to large groups as well as provide one on one in-dealership training. This exciting role will require frequent work week travel including overnights (approximately 50% travel is expected, primarily in Quebec) - candidate must be based within one hour of an airport due to national travel requirements for this WFH/Remote role with travel.
Candidate must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Eastern Canada.
The Work Itself
- Assist Account Executives to deliver income development training to dealerships.
- Partner with the DP-S account teams to identify customer training needs and deliver training to dealership personnel.
- Deliver F-I menu training.
- Evaluate existing and emerging instructional trends, tools, and techniques for applicability within the Dealership Training group.
- Assist AE's in acquiring new accounts by participating in Blueprints, proposals and launches.
- Consult with account teams and customers to improve training and dealership performance.
- Maintain industry, product, and competitor expertise.
- Ensure that the training service provided is a clear differentiator to DP-S competitors.
- Monitor and analyze results to identify significant trends impacting goal achievement and then implement the appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in the sale of P-C products as required.
- Actively apply Situational Leadership in coaching.
The Skills You Bring
- Prior dealership or related automotive or auto dealer facing experience required.
- Ability to leverage auto dealer expertise and relationships to contribute to dealer training strategy, drive business results and manage projects.
- Corporate training experience nice to have, not required.
- 3+ years in financial services, automotive or related industry experience is needed.
- HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Base Pay Range: An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications.
