Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada, and reside in, or be willing to relocate to, within a one-hour drive of Quebec City or Montreal, Quebec, requiring approximately 50% travel servicing dealers throughout Quebec. Company vehicle provided.
  • Create leads and sell F&I product line to targeted goals; close sales by building rapport with key decision makers within target accounts, explaining corporate program and service capabilities, while effectively overcoming objections.
  • Develop sales plan and effectively manage resources to maximize return on expenditures.
  • Operate within the growth channel which encompasses all new and used car franchised dealerships within the Canada.
  • Work collaboratively with Ally Insurance's account teams and all other Ally field personnel in identifying new customers, conquest new business and strategically managing the sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Successfully maintaining the account for servicing and income development activities include working with all car dealership personnel who are involved with F&I products to improve dealer business performance.
  • The consultation, creation and sharing of sales strategies to appropriate dealership staff and follow-up of dealership to ensure accurate procedures are followed for reporting of products sold.
  • Maintain current knowledge about the competition, market threats and challenges, and communicate those concerns with organization and maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in training; remain active in the industry and in the respective area and trade associations.

The Work Itself

  • Manage sales activity and provide essential training in all departments at dealerships relating to Ally Product offerings (Used Vehicle Dept., F&I Dept., Sales, Service, Accounting).
  • Analyze statistical reports and data to monitor and manage dealer account performance for maximum efficiency and counsel dealers on best practices to maximize returns in the F&I, Used Car and Service Departments.
  • Develop and execute territory plan to include identification of target conquest accounts and target performance accounts for focused activity to acquire new business or drive performance improvements relative to VSC and ancillary products.
  • Assist dealership personnel and serve as a resource providing mechanical products and processing training expertise. Serve as a subject matter expert relative to VSC and ancillary products.

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dealership experience or automotive b2b/outside sales experience.
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English.
  • Experience working in a dealership in a Business Manager role.
  • Successful professional experience in automotive sales management or financial services management.
  • Prior experience in promoting a wide range of automotive F&I products such as service contracts (extended warranties), prepaid maintenance, and ancillary products.
  • Dealership operations and insurance product knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Ability to develop business relationships with dealer principles and decision makers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Well-developed business management, presentation and relationship selling skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to objectively manage conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability, positive attitude, openness to change, self-motivation, and willingness to increase performance.
  • Proficient in intermediate MS applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook).
