The Opportunity
Overview: We are seeking a seasoned operational leader to manage and mature the operational readiness function within the Financial Crimes organization. This role ensures that disputes, fraud detection, and investigation teams are prepared for regulatory changes, product launches, technology deployments, volume spikes, and crisis events. The ideal candidate blends compliance and fraud domain expertise with operational excellence, project management, and change management skills to drive readiness across people, process, technology, data, and controls.
The Work Itself
- Build and own the operational readiness framework for change events, ie. Process change, systems changes, fraud control changes, etc.
- Establish and maintain a readiness calendar aligned to initiative roadmaps and timelines
- Work with operational excellence, operations and strategy teams to develop sustainable, efficient processes with each change initiative
- Ensure capacity planning, workforce management, learning and development, business line risk, reporting and analytics, and other support teams are engaged and tracking to initiative timelines.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit to identify impacts and implement required changes to control testing, quality assurance, in conjunction with change initiatives
- Collaborate with financial crimes transformation, technology, automation, digital, and project teams to ensure change initiatives are production-ready.
- Oversee and participate in UAT and operational acceptance testing
- Develop incident response readiness and remediation for system outages and process failures
- Serve as the operational point of contact for readiness across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Business Units.
- Prepare initiative updates, risk identification/remediation plans, and post-mortems; communicate risks, decisions, and trade-offs clearly.
- Oversee training scheduling and attestations as needed, and change management to ensure adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Conduct root-cause analyses after launches/events; implement corrective actions and lessons learned.
The Skills You Bring

- 5-10 years in a project or change management leadership role
- Preferred 5+ years in Fraud operations role
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and techniques
- Experience in using case management and transactional systems
- Expertise in process improvement, control planning/oversight, risk assessment
- Experience developing and managing self-identified issues is a plus
- Exceptional project/program management skills (e.g., agile, waterfall, PMO practices); PMP, or similar is a plus.
- Data-driven mindset; experience with operational analytics, reporting, and KPI dashboards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, regulated environments and manage competing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required
- Strategic and operational thinking with strong execution discipline.
