The Work Itself
- Build APIs and other full-stack applications ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards
- Work in an Agile environment and gain exposure to continuous integration and delivery tools
- Work cross-functionally to resolve and understand complex technical and design issues and build consensus regarding project direction
- Assist in the integration of new APIs into client-side applications
- Actively study new and emerging technologies
- Serve as a mentor for junior engineers and peers in the software development practice to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years of experience working in development, DevOps, or comparable positions with exposure to full stack development
- Ability to think thoroughly about systems and services and write high quality code. We work mostly in Java, Spring, Apigee, Oracle, and CCS/HTML5. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework
- A self-starting mentality and passion for experimentation, with interests in game-changing technology and identifying unconventional opportunities for success
- Passion for creating value for both internal and external Ally users, and enthusiasm for Agile processes that help develop these products
- Experience with enterprise development environments and tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Selenium as well as experience working in cloud-based environments like AWS VPC, EC2, GIT
- Deep knowledge and interest in IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, and their application to business opportunities
- Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo
