The Opportunity

This Ally Invest Manager will hold an influential role in the organization providing holistic optimization and analysis for Ally Invest Wealth Management. They will primarily focus on the funnel build and optimization for Wealth Management and secondarily work with other Invest business lines to optimize processes. Success for this role looks like driving optimization and efficiency from prospect to customer experience. This role will have cross functional exposure and a continual focus on innovation and exploration for Invest across channels.

The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about business monitoring and never stopping at the first answer. This person has a creative passion for making processes more efficient, and helping grow a winning strategy. This individual must be a self-starting thought-leader in the business, providing highly relevant and actionable product guidance and analysis. They are experienced and adept at leading idea generation, concept/design definition, process, and executive report outs.

This position will report to the Ally Invest Director of Wealth Management Product and have a strong dotted line reporting accountability to leaders of the advisory and analytics teams.

The Work Itself

  • Manage enhancements and improvements to the product (future roadmap and backlogged items) based on strategy for the Wealth Client experience.
  • Create and improve processes for functions performed by operations, service, trading and advisors to help drive product optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders on new initiatives and problem solving opportunities  for the Wealth Client experience.
  • Partner closely with Analytics and Finance to establish, monitor and lead performance management (including overall health of business, sales pipeline, digital engagement, portfolio metrics, contact center metrics, and VOC);  set strategy for all of the data and analytics teams supporting the Wealth product.
  • Uncover key learnings from VOC scores and commentary to understand trends in Prospect and Client sentiment and uncover opportunities to enhance product/service and processes.
  • Glean insights from the competitive landscape to understand industry trends and lead exploratory efforts to identify opportunities to enhance product/service offering.
  • Present business updates on KPIs, VOC, and progress on new initiatives to Ally Leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Effectively flex to ad-hoc efforts needed across the lean and agile Ally Invest organization including performing and testing operational processes in order to optimize for future growth.

    The Skills You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial Services, or equivalent background. MBA and/or domain expertise in online trading or wealth management preferred.
    • 5+ years of relative experience.
    • Highly analytical and organized with a system thinking approach to problem solving
    • Ability to work at a very detailed level, as well as synthesize and present key action items / insights at executive levels.
    • Able to make recommendations and decisions authoritatively and wisely, after adequate contemplating various sources of information and input.
    • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
    • Advisory/brokerage/investing related business a strong plus
    • Agile, Lean, Six Sigma experience a plus
    • Series 7, 63/65 or 66 a plus
    • Able to structure, analyze, and answer major business and customer questions; balance / prioritize multiple requests and competing priorities.
    • Adept at leading through influence, working cross-functionally to drive a team to completion.
    • Client-centric focus: puts a priority on creating a premium client experience.
    • Must be a proactive self-starter who values personal accountability and thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
    • Able to maintain momentum and drive clarity on ambiguous topics, turning concepts / ideas into analysis, strategies, action plans, and final delivered change.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations / compliance.
