Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

The Marketing Manager - Integrated Media Strategy will play a key role in building media strategies and plans, and overseeing the execution of media campaigns once in market. This role will be a key contributor for bridging communications and planning between internal and external media agencies. The role will include stewardship of key strategic media shifts including the following:

  • Partnering with internal teams to build briefs and comms strategies in line with Ally comms architecture
  • Breaking the ad-free model: finding new opportunities to connect with audiences and make an impact
  • Audience Segmentation and go-to-market approach: work in partnership with Research and Analytics teams to ensure we have the right audience strategy across campaigns, as well as the right channel and partner mix based on media consumption trends and performance data
  • Media continuity – meet overarching reach, frequency, and conversion goals and be a stakeholder voice in cross-platform audience approach
  • Role will also be responsible for intelligence to tackle media fragmentation and ever-changing consumer media habits, with a keen eye on innovation.

This is an in office role with hybrid schedule. Ally work locations are Charlotte NC or Detroit MI


The Work Itself

  • Build integrated campaign briefs in collaboration with Advertising and Brand team managers
  • Lead development of media strategies and tactical plans
  • Ensure that Foundational, Emerging and Experimental media campaigns are going to market as one holistic media strategy, realizing both cost efficiencies and amplification opportunities
  • Lead visibility media moments and manage key media partnerships on behalf of Ally 
  • Management of connecting holistic plans between internal digital media team and external media agency of record
  • Key contributor for collaboration, knowledge share, and development of holistic media plans
  • Key contributor for Deposits XF team. Attend key planning/status meetings and keep projects moving forward at a quick pace. Collaborate with business partners as needed.
  • Partner with Content team on distribution strategies and publisher media plans
  • Use data and insights to identify areas of opportunity and in-flight strategic plan optimizations
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and produce input on innovation in the media space. Author POVs.
  • Build and present presentations, including recommendations and plan summaries for leadership
  • Be a key stakeholder in measurement and analytics, ensuring that measurement plans are integrated tightly into media planning. Partner with peers for MTA and data/dashboard executive report outs
  • Budget management in conjunction with internal ops team

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media and/or Advertising preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a media role or media agency required
  • Experience in integrated cross channel media planning, with emphasis on digital
  • Experience with in-show integration and contract negotiation preferred
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues inside and outside the organization
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Strong attention to detail and cross functional relationship building
  • Knowledge of financial services business a plus

Base Pay Range: $90000 - $125000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
