The Opportunity
Manager, Information Security and Risk Governance position at Ally is a member of the Business Line Risk Governance (BLRG) team in Information Protection and Risk Management (IPRM). This manager role will work in IT Regulatory Engagements team. The successful candidate will have experience in Information Technology and Security with additional experience working within risk, governance, and compliance areas.

The Work Itself
- Participate in Information Technology / Cybersecurity Regulatory engagements within Ally Technology
- Partner with Ally Technology to facilitate examinations aimed at ensuring quality and consistency of artifacts and responses
- Lead internal Process assessments to reviewing Ally Technology controls against regulatory guidance
- Provide oversight and support for adhoc regulatory activities
- Build strong relationships with Business Units and GRC partners to facilitate reporting on assessment/exam execution for stakeholders across IT Business Lines
- Execute and disseminate reports for Senior Leadership
- Create clear, concise materials to communicate regarding risks, issues, and technology concerns with audience appropriate levels of detail
The Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of Information Technology experience including:
- Information Security, Compliance, Risk or Audit experience
- General or 'hands-on' information technology experience (Network Engineer, System Admin, Database Admin, Programmer, etc.)[ST1]
- Working knowledge of common information security and technology concepts, risks and best practices related to:
- IT Risk Management / Governance frameworks such as NIST and FFIEC
- Information Technology and Security management
- Consultative skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships within all levels of an organization
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to create organized and articulate reports and presentations from underlying data that are easily understood by teammates and Business Partners
- Experience in the finance / banking industry is a plus.
- Security, technology, or audit/compliance related certifications are a plus
- Experience with IT governed documents such as Policies, Standards, and Baselines
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools a plus
