Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Field Loss Mitigation Manager to lead and oversee in-person loss control activities for Ally Dealer Insurance programs (inventory insurance and garage keepers’ coverage). This role is responsible for driving dealer engagement in loss mitigation efforts to reduce claim severity and frequency.

The Field Loss Mitigation Manager will lead a team of Senior Field Analysts, ensuring they conduct on-site visits, assess risk exposures, and provide strategic recommendations to dealerships to mitigate future losses. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, a background in insurance loss prevention or risk management, and the ability to build trusted relationships with dealers to proactively address loss control measures.

The Work Itself

Lead & Develop Field Team:
  • Oversee a team of Field Analysts, ensuring they effectively conduct risk assessments and loss mitigation consulting with dealerships.
  • Provide coaching, training, and guidance to enhance their effectiveness in risk evaluation and dealer engagement.

Loss Control & Mitigation Strategy:
  • Develop and implement proactive loss mitigation strategies to reduce claim severity and frequency, including developing key measures impact and dealer engagement.
  • Work closely with dealers to recommend operational changes, security enhancements, and risk management best practices.

Dealer Engagement & Relationship Management:
  • Build strong relationships with dealerships, educating them on loss control measures and driving adoption of best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between dealerships and internal stakeholders regarding risk mitigation strategies.

 Site Visits & Risk Assessments:
  • Oversee and guide Field Analysts in conducting on-site inspections to identify potential risks in dealership operations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of findings and effective communication of recommendations to reduce exposure.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage claims data, site visit reports, and industry trends to identify high-risk areas and refine loss control strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations in collaboration with underwriting and claims teams to inform risk selection and pricing strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with claims, underwriting, and product teams to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and refine loss prevention programs and initiatives.

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • 5+ years of management experience, preferably in loss prevention, risk management, or loss mitigation, and automotive insurance or a related field
  • Proven leadership experience, managing, mentoring, or leading field-based teams.
  • Ability to analyze loss trends and develop strategic mitigation plans.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage dealers and drive compliance with recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of conducting risk assessments or loss control consultation. 
  • Proficiency in reporting tools, data analysis, with ability to communicate well with Insurance Senior Leadership. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support field operations during active claims for dealer site visits.

Base Pay Range: $90000 - $125000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. 
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
