The Opportunity

Reporting to the Process Mining & Optimization Sr. Director, this role will utilize Process Mining capabilities (e.g., Process Visualization, Automation, ML, etc.) and traditional process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.), you will design and lead projects to help our business partners optimize their operations. You will be a vital member of the Ally Process Mining and Optimization COE (APMO-COE) team, contributing to the strategic planning around process optimization and executing critical projects to enhance processes and the employee experience.

The Work Itself

Strategy and Leadership

·   Partner with the APMO-COE Leader to continuously improve and enhance the COE Delivery Model and Strategy, considering Ally’s strategic objectives for the short-, medium- and long-term

·   Partner with process owners across the organization to evaluate business operations and identify potential improvement opportunities (e.g., automation, process redesign, realignment of resources)

·   Assist organizational leadership in evaluating and optimizing management routines, driving productivity and efficiency gains

·   Train and mentor business partners in continuous process improvement, process mining, and automation methodologies

Project Execution

·   Collaborate with business leaders to design projects aligned with their strategic goals and objectives

·   Develop and manage project plans, including cross-functional team participation

·   Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify and define KPIs to measure operational performance and project success

·   Develop detailed business cases, including business benefits and realization plans, and monitor progress from design through post-implementation

Change Management

·   Facilitate the evaluation of risks and controls associated with all improvement implementations

·   Assist in building action plans to mitigate risks, capitalize on opportunities, and implement controls

·   Collaborate with operational leadership and subject matter experts to build and align change management plans (including customer and employee impact, communication, training, etc.)

The Skills You Bring


·   5+ years working experience in IT-Consulting, Management Consulting, Process Improvement, or a similar area

·   5+ years of experience managing and leading cross-functional teams

·   5+ years of project management experience

·   5+ years of experience in financial services strongly preferred

·   5+ years of experience in data science and data analytics

·   Demonstrated success in team leadership and project management, with a proven track record of successfully implementing change within an organization

·   Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications

·   Strong skills as a consultant, influencer, conflict manager, and negotiator

·   Excellent presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations to individuals, large groups, and executive leaders

·   Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with project teams and other stakeholders

·   Ability to own and solve complex challenges and to motivate others

·   Excellent organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, executive-level deliverables

·   Ability to build relationships and foster teamwork to achieve mutual objectives by informing and involving others in solving problems and implementing changes

Technical / Education

·   Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.) preferred but not required

·   Process optimization certification strongly preferred (Certified Process Professional, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Agile, etc.)

·   PMP or PMI-ACP certification preferred

·   Highly proficient with SQL or other programming languages (Python, R, Matlab, HTML, Java) and have a strong interest in Big Data, Data Mining, and Process Mining

·   Advanced Excel skills

·   Proficiency in use of process mining tools (e.g., Celonis)

  • Starting Pay: The starting pay for this role is $121,000/ year. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual bonus program with a target of 11% of annual base pay, based on individual and corporate performance. This is the starting pay for this role. Actual offers to be negotiated based on applicant's qualifications and experience.
