The Opportunity
Are you a loss control professional with a passion for building relationships and providing consultation to clients? At ally, our loss prevention team is essential in proactively managing risks. In this role, you’ll be key to providing beneficial services to our auto dealership network, manage weather risks and produce dynamic training and educational materials to our clients and team members. Location: preference is Schaumburg, IL but will consider Detroit, MI too.
The Work Itself
- Deliver value to our dealers by providing consultation, targeted services and meaningful recommendations.
- Monitor, provide notifications and report on conditions to mitigate claims from weather events.
- Develops weather risk mitigation strategies based upon internal, historical and predictive models.
- Build relationships with our dealers to develop service objectives based upon dealer goals, loss analysis assessments and site visit results.
- Be a technical resource for our underwriting, sales, claims and other internal departments.
- Design and deliver training to clients and internal departments.
- Author technical bulletins, host webinars and create loss prevention collateral.
- Collect and evaluate data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement through reporting and strategic plans.
- Participate in loss control audits by examining loss control surveys, operational processes, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with stated standards.
- Perform technical tasks and analysis required to support ongoing business operations.
The Skills You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in risk, safety or insurance.
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred.
- Certification or ability to achieve certifications (ARM, CPCU, CSP) within 18 months preferred.
- Moderate travel required (35%), including overnight trips.
- Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
