The Work Itself
- Rapidly prototype and develop using middleware Java stack, Spring, messaging techniques, and web containers. On the client side you’ll work in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
- Engage with developers, testers, and content authors to understand the system end-to-end and create world-class customer experiences
- Leverage the latest coding practices and industry standards to develop high quality, well documented, and efficient code
- Work closely with Development Lead, Architects, Project Managers, Systems Analysts, and other members of the wider team to plan and develop integration components
- Uphold secure coding standards through code reviews, unit testing, and test automation
- Serve as a mentor for junior developers and peers to help them grow in their technical responsibilities and remove blockers
- Performing root cause analysis and helping troubleshoot technical issues
The Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Java web application development, including experience with Core Java, ORM models, REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, Spring boot, Spring Cloud, Naming servers, API Gateway
- 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to, EC2, S3, Lambda, AWS CLI, AWS databases, Terraform etc
- 3+ years’ experience creating high quality User interfaces using REACTJS
- Understanding of DEVOPS pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins, Splunk, SonarQube, Checckmarks, Threadfix, Nexus IQ, Bitbucket, Gitlab
- A self-starting mentality and passion for experimentation, with success creating content management systems
- Deep knowledge and interest in tech concepts, strategies, methodologies, and their application to business opportunities
- Passion for creating value for the customer, and enthusiasm for Agile processes that help develop these products
- Desire to work within a diverse group of people and passion for challenging the status quo
