The Opportunity

Enterprise Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (ECRA) is a function within Independent Risk Management. Its mission is to drive the company’s culture of compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies while meeting the compliance and ethical expectations of regulators and other stakeholders. The Consumer Lending Compliance Team is aligned under the ECRA organization and supports the Auto, Insurance, and Corporate Finance BLs.

The Senior Analyst-Consumer Lending Compliance assists the Auto Servicing/Collection Business Line BLs in ensuring that the day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, in addition to company policies and procedures.

The Work Itself

  • Routinely work with Auto Business Lines (Auto Servicing) to review and map their policies and procedures to applicable laws and regulations
  • Assist in the continued effort to build, expand, and implement compliance governance processes, policies, and controls across the enterprise based on risk assessment results, internal audit findings, regulatory exam findings, and applicable laws/regulations.
  • Apply knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems, analyze issues and escalate non-standard problems or issues to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Daily interaction with Auto Servicing’s BL middle management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding policy application and interpretation.
  • In addition to established reporting, assist with the preparation of ad hoc materials for regulatory agencies and/or reporting updates for senior management.
  • Collaborate with BL to ensure Compliance controls are established for regulatory risk identified through RCSA routine.
  • Participate in regulatory training content development and audience selection for designated Auto BLs.
  • Work with Consumer Lending Compliance Manager to track and communicate regulatory changes to designated Auto BLs.
  • Assists Manager and advises less experienced Compliance staff on routine or technical issues
  • Perform special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
 

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelors’ degree in business or related major or equivalent work experience preferred. 
  • 3 + years Compliance, Servicing, Auto or Consumer Credit experience
  • Ability to assess risk and problem solve with some knowledge of consumer laws and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Organized, thorough and persistent
  • Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple duties
  • Independent and self-motivated and works well with others
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, and Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel a plus
  • Some travel required
  • Hybrid (3 times in office, 2 times work from home)
