The Opportunity
Provide leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff. Accountable for, setting direction and deploying resources. Manages professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises team(s). Accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from Sr Director of Insurance. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers. Location: hybrid role Cranberry, PA (3 days in office / 2 days remote). For internals: this role can be a 2D or 2E depending on skill set.
The Work Itself
- Responds to inquiries regarding application information, coverage, rating, billing and policy service.
- May interact with underwriters at non-affiliated insurance companies to secure coverage not underwritten by Ally.
- Works closely with producers to assure that new and renewal business information is collected in a timely and thorough manner; also participates in the quality control function to verify accuracy of proposals and policies.
- Works with a greater degree of independence and is assigned more complex situations than Intermediate or Assistant Customer Service Representatives.
- May be assigned additional responsibility of supervising and coaching a small group of Intermediate or Assistant Customer Service Representatives
The Skills You Bring
- 7+ years in customer service or financial services industry is needed.
- 3+ years leadership experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred, MBA is ideal.
- Ability to provide advice and direction in primary areas of expertise.
- Ability to leverage technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results.
- Technical knowledge, project management, and ability to influence others.
- 25 - 50% travel.
