The Opportunity

The role of "Innovation Product Strategist" will work at TM Studio, Ally's Ideation and Concept Development Studio.  This role will be a key contributor to the creation of new, differentiated solutions for consumers that ensure the future success of Ally business lines. You will help drive strategic direction of financial products and services by leveraging human centered design processes, while also ensuring operational accountability through sprint goals, planning, and facilitation. Role will have frequent exposure to Sr. Leadership, key executives and all consumer lines of business.

The Work Itself

  • Provide leadership and direction to team throughout concept development, creating a plan to accomplish sprint and project level goals
  • Work with cross functional Studio team to create game-changing solutions that create value &/or improve people's financial lives, thereby resulting in business value to Ally
  • Conduct intensive product reviews of opportunities, challenges, and competitor offerings
  • Create and execute research plans to understand consumers actions, opinions, in multiple areas, such as identification of opportunities and challenges and possible solutions
  • Develop dynamic materials to frequently present to Sr. Leadership, conveying the concepts created in a clear and concise way and articulate the value to people
  • Support LEAD initiatives and be culture champion within Ally

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred, MBA is ideal
  • 7+ years in product management, innovation, or financial services industry is needed. At least 5 years leadership experience preferred.
  • Critical thinking and experience in situations requiring sound business judgement
  • Creativity stemming from fact-based research
  • Ability to bring vision/strategies to life
  • Skillful influencing abilities
  • Initiative to discover innovative ways to solve consumer problems
  • Strong presentation skills, including ability to articulate complex problems/solutions in a concise simple manner
  • Comfortable speaking with and presenting to Senior Leadership
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing situations
  • Excellent written, documentation, and verbal skills
  • High level of proficiency in Google G-suite of products, as well as collaboration tools such as Mural, Miro, and Milanote
