The Opportunity

The Wire Transfer and Official Check Specialist is responsible for reviewing customer accounts.  In this role, your attention to detail will be important to your success.  You will review different wire and ACH accounts for red flags and accuracy.  You will work closely with ACH team as well as loss prevention.  You will have direct customer contact as well as answering questions for the internal contact center therefore a high level of customer service is expected.  This role is for you if you are looking for something new and challenging in back office banking!

The Work Itself

  • Interact with the Customer Contact Center, Ally Bank customers, as well as non-customers
  • Assist with research needed to resolve customer issues
  • Maintain and distribute daily/monthly metrics and/or management reports as assigned
  • Handle rush customer requests as assigned.
  • Assist Supervisor with quality reviews of key processes, procedures documentation and procedure testing
  • Participate with input & suggestions on improvements to process within the team to management.
  • Keep management advised of any workflow issues and/or potential modifications to procedures or workflow that are received from the contact center, deposit operations' service teams, customers, etc.

The Skills You Bring

  • 2+ years of teller or retail banking is highly recommended
  • Demonstrated wires and/or ACH experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in lieu of experience, not required
