The Opportunity

The Escheatment supervisor will need to apply basic unclaimed property industry knowledge and experience to a portfolio of bank related property and ensure that the Escheatment Team associates have followed the appropriate processing and procedures for each escheatment cycle. Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the escheatment cycle timelines, communicating with the vendor and other departments, and ensuring timelines and deliverables are timely and accurate.   Additionally, the supervisor must ensure the Dormancy processes are executed in a timely fashion and monitor salesforce queues to ensure automation and associate work is being done according to all procedures. Supervisor will manage outstanding issues related but not limited to customer outreach, state contact, and accounting reconciliation. 

The Work Itself

  • Manage internal and vendor dependent unclaimed property reporting process maintaining strict timelines and deliverables according to state due dates and internal timelines
  • Coordinates with third party vendor (JMS) daily regarding escheatment related activities.
  • Coordinates activities with critical internal business partners such as Data Services/Reporting, Accounting, Automation, Loss Prevention and Account Services and Money Movement Teams.
  • Assist with external unclaimed property/escheatment audits and internal department audits and quality control reviews.
  • Develops and ensures procedures are current, accurate, and reflective of the responsibility of the team and are in accordance with legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains daily huddle with team; schedules one on one meetings with staff routinely; ensures daily flow of communication to team members.
  • Develops and implements quality improvement plans and effective coaching as needed

The Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in unclaimed property activities OR
  • 5+ years in retail bank operations, including management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Finance, Accounting) highly preferred
