The Opportunity
The Work Itself
- Own and evolve the UI platform architecture supporting web and mobile applications.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices through research, conferences. and professional networks, and drive the strategic adoption of innovative solutions within the organization’s technology stack.
- Define standards, patterns and best practices for React and React Native used across product teams.
- Design and maintain shared libraries, design systems, and foundational components.
- Establish platform-level approaches for state management, navigation, authentication and cross-cutting concerns.
- Ensure platform solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, privacy, accessibility and regulatory compliance.
- Enable product teams through documentation, reference implementations and developer tooling.
- Own and evolve the UI Test automation strategy across web and mobile platforms, ensuring it scales with the platform and supports rapid, safe delivery.
- Drive platform modernization efforts, including framework upgrades, technical debt reduction, and performance improvements.
- Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and release strategies.
- Identify systemic risks and scalability issues and lead cross-team initiatives to address them.
- Influence and guide technical decision-making across multiple teams by leading design and architecture reviews, establishing and maintaining engineering standards and best practices and providing mentorship and technical leadership to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with organization goals.
- Familiarity with native mobile development concepts (iOS/Android) and their interaction with React Native.
The Skills You Bring
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep UI specialization.
- Expert-level experience with React, React Native, TypeScript and modern front-end architecture.
- Proven experience designing and owning shared platforms, frameworks, and core libraries.
- Experience operating in large-scale regulated environments with formal governance and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of performance, accessibility, and maintainability at scale.
- Ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
