The Director, Technical Delivery Management, will serve as a portfolio lead and will manage a variety of technology projects and initiatives designed to enhance and evolve Ally’s expanding Customer Alerting platform.

The Work Itself

  • Partners with the lines of business from requirement gathering, ideation, and planning across multiple agile team roadmaps to ultimate agile delivery and release of software. 
  • Overseeing timelines, handling risks and adjustments to timelines based on project obstacles and reporting out status and outcomes on a regular basis in a variety of forums. 
  • May manages scrum masters and TDMS, which may include Ally employee and/or vendor team members. 
  • Develops/maintains strong relationship with vendor teams and vendor management. 
  • Deliver joint technology and business solutions, support and optimize team delivery, and provide overarching governance and budgetary support for the platform teams.

The Skills You Bring


  • 7+ years of Technical Project Management -- Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle including project planning and estimating, project budgeting, staffing, change control, and status reporting.
  • Dedicated agile experience with a background in portfolio management and reporting in an agile ecosystem.
  • Experience diplomatically challenging the status quo and evangelizing modern approaches to enterprise solution delivery.
  • Customer Focus -- proven track record of customer satisfaction and delivery success and ability to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Consulting/Problem Solving -- ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key technical and business problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations.
  • Handles ambiguity and changing priorities effectively.
  • Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creating and presenting PowerPoints and sending project status to senior leadership.

It is not expected that any single candidate would have experience with all tools listed, but a successful one will be motivated and interested in learning new technologies.
